Roofline replacement in Cambridge
Fascia boards run along the lower edge of the roof and provide a secure fixing point for the guttering. When old timber fascias begin to rot, split or deteriorate, replacing them helps protect the roofline as well as improving the appearance of the property.
Browns Roofing replaces tired timber fascia boards with low-maintenance uPVC fascia products. The finished roofline is neat, weather-resistant and does not need the regular painting associated with timber.
Ideal for: deteriorating timber fascias, loose or tired roofline boards, and properties being upgraded with new soffits and guttering.

Protect and finish the roofline
Soffits sit beneath the roof edge between the fascia and the wall. Old timber soffits can become weathered or damaged over time, leaving this important part of the roofline looking tired and requiring ongoing maintenance.
We replace ageing soffit boards with low-maintenance uPVC for a clean, durable finish. Browns Roofing can assess the existing roofline and provide suitable ventilation where required, helping air circulate through the roof space.
Ideal for: ageing or damaged soffits, roofline refurbishment and homeowners wanting a cleaner, lower-maintenance finish.

Direct rainwater away from your home
Leaking, damaged or poorly fitted guttering can allow rainwater to run down walls or collect around the property. Correctly fitted gutters and downpipes carry water away from the roof and form an important part of a sound roofline system.
Browns Roofing replaces old guttering and downpipes in Cambridge, either as individual guttering work or alongside new fascias and soffits. A choice of guttering colours is available further down this page.
Ideal for: leaking joints, damaged or sagging guttering, old downpipes and complete roofline replacement.

Location: Sawston, Cambridge
Problem: Birds nest in rotten wood soffit
Solution: Nest and rotten woodwork removed and replaced with new uPVC soffits, fascias and 3 in one tray
Description
As it was Spring and there were eggs in the nest, we arranged with the owner to come back in a few weeks once the birds had fledged. When we returned in May, the nest was empty and so we started work.
First, we stripped out the old wooden fascias and soffits. Then we cut back the existing bitumen felt by approx 18 inches.
Next, we fitted the new uPVC soffits, fascias and 3 in one tray. The three in one trays will prevent birds nesting in the future and also fully ventilate the loft space.
Finally, we fitted an 18mm uPVC replacement fascia board and 300mm hollow uPVC soffit in white uPVC with attractive tongue and groove effect.
All the work was completed in 5 days.BROWNS ROOFING SERVICES - YOUR LOCAL CAMBRIDGE ROOFER
