Problem: Lifting tiles on the gable end and water ingress at the front of the chimney stack.
Solution: Repaired gable end and chimney base with new under cloaking, tiles, felt, battens and fresh mortar.
Description
This job was for a returning customer in Cherry Hinton who we’ve worked with for more than 10 years. The roof had tiles lifting on the gable end and water coming in around the front of the chimney stack.
We put up scaffolding on the gable end, removed the old under cloaking, mortar and verge tiles, then fitted new under cloaking and replaced any damaged tiles. The verge was finished with fresh mortar for a neat, secure result.
We also renewed the felt and battens at the base of the chimney stack to stop water getting in.
The work took two days to complete.
