Date: 20th May 2024
Location: Great Shelford, Cambridge
Problem: Rotten roofline
Solution: The rotting roofline was completely replaced with new uPVC and bird-proofed to ensure long-lasting protection
Description
Our team was called to a property in Great Shelford to address extensive rotting of the wooden fascias and soffits. This damage was primarily caused by birds nesting under the tiles and gaining access to the soffits, resulting in damp and moisture build-up on the roof rafters.
The existing wooden fascias, soffits, and guttering were carefully removed to make way for a complete replacement. New white UPVC full replacement boards were installed for the fascias, along with new white tongue and groove soffits. The entire guttering system was upgraded with all-new white OG guttering and downpipes.
To prevent future bird infestations and ensure proper airflow, 3-in-1 eve protection trays with bird combs and ventilation were supplied and fitted.
The property now benefits from a complete overhaul of its roofline, with enhanced protection against the elements and pests. The new uPVC materials offer superior durability and require minimal maintenance, ensuring the home's long-term protection.
The work took 3 days to complete.
