Problem: Fascia had been overclad leading to rotting timbers
Solution: Overcladding and old timbers removed. New uPVC fascia, soffits and guttering supplied and fitted.
Description
Some years ago another roofing company had overclad the property's wooden fascias. Unless the fascias are completely free of rot and infestation at the point of installation, this can be problematic. Unfortunately for this customer, the overcladding was hiding rotten timbers.
The problem of the rotten woodwork was only discovered when a soffit fell from the property. This alarming event prompted the homeowner to search the internet for a local Cambridge roofer. That's when he found Browns Roofing's website.
We visited the house and inspected the roof. It was soon clear that the old cladding needed to be removed, together with the rotting timbers, and a new roofline installed.
Our quote was accepted and we set to work.
Once the cladding and old wood had been removed, we supplied and installed all new fascia, soffits and half-round guttering.
We also fitted eave trays to aid ventilation.
When all the work was finished, we cleared away the debris, leaving the outside of the property clean and tidy.
The work was completed in 2 days
