Problem: Rotten wooden shiplap causing deterioration to the roofline
Solution: Removal of all rotten timber and installation of new anthracite grey uPVC shiplap and black guttering
Description
The property in Bar Hill had old wooden shiplap cladding at the front and back. Over time, the wood had deteriorated and was showing clear signs of rot, compromising both the appearance and protection of the roofline.
After discussing the options with the homeowner, we recommended removing all of the rotten timber and replacing it with modern, low-maintenance materials that would provide long-lasting protection and a smart finish.
Our team carefully stripped away all the old shiplap and disposed of it responsibly. We then installed new anthracite grey uPVC shiplap across the front and back elevations. To complete the look and improve water drainage, we also fitted new black guttering throughout.
The garage roofline had previously been finished in white fascia, which no longer matched the updated sections of the house. At the customer’s request, we replaced the white fascia around the front garage with new anthracite grey uPVC shiplap to create a consistent appearance across the whole property.
The work was completed in 2 days. Once finished, we cleared away all waste materials and left the area clean and tidy.
The customer was delighted with the results and left us a five-star review on Google - see below.
Eli and his team did a great job replacing our fascia boards and guttering. All the work was completed less than a week after receiving the quote.
We are very happy with the end result - we would highly recommend Browns Roofing.
