Date: 25th February 2020
Location: Girton, Cambridge
Problem: Rotten fascias
Solution: Old fascias and guttering removed and replaced
Originally the homeowner had asked for the repair work to be carried out by another local roofing company. Unfortunately, they had bodged the job and screwed new fascias into the rotten woodwork.
Browns Roofing did the job properly by first stripping out all the rotten woodwork and then putting in new wooden noggins* on the end of the rafters. We supplied and installed new white fascias, white soffits and black guttering.
The work took 3 days to complete.
* A nogging is a strut used to give rigidity to a framework.
